Expensive vs Inexpensive Skincare
Many people resort to buying expensive skincare because it was promoted or popularized on social media. This is often an incorrect approach to getting skincare because a lot of the products recommended online are not good for young skin. A recent example of this is the brand Drunk Elephant becoming popular with kids, tweens, and teens. These products are also expensive which can make inexperienced shoppers think they are high quality. More affordable skincare can and mostly will have the same effect on your skin as long as you are checking the ingredients on both expensive and inexpensive skincare to see if it's good for you.
Expensive Skincare
Many people think that expensive skincare is better because of:
Marketing and brand prestige
Influenced by social media
The assumption of expensive = high quality products
You shouldn't always believe that the product is the best quality because of the price. One important thing is to look at the ingredient list and find out if that product is good for you instead of randomly buying it because it got popular on TikTok.
Inexpensive Skincare
Inexpensive Skincare :
More affordable and still can have the same effect on your skin
Is great if you're consistent with your routine like all skincare
Often has the same ingredients as expensive skincare
Inexpensive skincare shouldn't be assumed to be worse, as long as your routine is consistent, you're checking the ingredient labels, and it is good for your skin type, your skincare routine will be amazing and affordable.
Does it really make that big of a difference?
NO. Many people think high-end, expensive skincare brands will always be better but that's not true. As long as you have looked at the ingredients and figured out whether their good or bad for you, your skincare routine will have the same effect.
